Family Weekend: November 4-6

Join Drexel Hillel for Family Weekend 2022!  Our full schedule is available below.  All events are free (though we welcome donations to help defray costs and support Hillel’s work). Advanced registration requested. Please note that all guests need to follow Drexel University health and safety protocols.

Family Weekend Schedule

Friday November 4th

2pm Challah Braiding with Hannah – join us in the Perelman Center kitchen (basement) to braid some challah for this evening’s Shabbat Dinner.

2pm – 6pm Welcome Table and Perelman Center Tours – purchase your Drexel Hillel gear here! (Pre-order t-shirts when you register to guarantee sizing.)

Friday Shabbat Services

  • Orthodox Shabbat Services (5:35 pm)

  • Joint Soulful Shabbat and Conservative Minyan Services (6:00 pm)

  • Exact chapel assignments will be determined by number of registrants

7pm Community Shabbat Dinner

Saturday November 5th

9:15AM Shabbat Morning Services with the Orthodox Minyan Group

12:30 pm Shabbat Lunch – join the Hillel community for Shabbat lunch following services (Shabbat lunch is a community event open to all regardless of whether you are attending services)

5:30 pm SMASH (Shabbat Mincha / Aravit, Seudah Shlishit and Havdalah). Shabbat afternoon services, snacks and havdalah organized by our Orthodox Minyan Group at the Perelman Center.

Sunday November 6th

10:30am – 12:30pm Family Weekend Bagel Brunch

Students and their families are invited to the Perelman Center for a bagel brunch featuring the book launch for Torah Comics by Andrew Galitzer ‘25. Presented in partnership with the Jewish Studies Program.
